I bought this unite to replace a 16 year old, 11 SEER unit which had started to leak refrigerant (R22). I looked at different options, and finally decided to go with this unit from AC Wholesalers, mainly for their competitive pricing. The delivery was on time, and went smoothly The Goodman unit fit most of my requirements, with the next step up (variable speed, 20 SEER) being way too expensive. I looked into heat pump units but was worried that in the Northeast, I would need a hybrid setup which made the whole installation more complicated. also changed the air handler into a 16SEER, variable ECM unit, and in the past two weeks since installation, I have been very happy with how the unit has been running. It is significantly quieter than my old unit, and although the fan is not variable speed, I believe the two stage compressor is working as expected and I will see some b benefits on my electricity bill. Anyway, I am hoping the unit will continue to perform well, and as of now I am satisfied with AC Wholesalers and Goodman.
