Mitsubishi's dedication to new technology means that multi-zone mini split systems are now a year-round comfort solution for homes in freezing climates. This low ambient system uses a hyper-heating H2i MXZ-5C42NAHZ outdoor condenser to provide efficient cooling and subzero heating through four advanced MSZ-FH wall mounted indoor units. These indoor units feature Mitsubishi's 3D i-see Sensor®, which automatically detects where heating or cooling is needed. Four wireless remote controllers guarantee convenient comfort by allowing you to control the temperature in individual rooms. With multiple operating modes, multiple fan speeds, and multiple airflow directions, this is a system that fits the needs of nearly any home.
  • H2i Technology
  • Low and negative ambient temperatures don't bother the MXZ-5C42NAHZ. It is rated for 100% heating capacity at 5° F and continues to provide heating in outdoor conditions as low as -13° F.
  • Integrated Base Pan Heater
  • MXZ-C outdoor condensers have a factory-installed base pan heater in the drain pan. This prevents condensate from freezing and damaging the unit in frigid climates.
  • Precision Temperature Control Technology
  • This condenser is equipped with advanced inverter technology. By adjusting compressor speed and refrigerant flow, these components match the output of the condenser to the active zones. This provides precise temperature control and incredible efficiency.
  • 3D i-see Sensor®
  • Each MSZ-FH indoor unit has a 3D i-see Sensor® that monitors its zone for changes in temperature and occupancy and will temporarily adjust airflow to ensure complete comfort throughout the zone.
  • Occupancy Sensor
  • Mitsubishi's 3D i-see Sensor® technology can also detect a room's current occupancy. Through the use of targeted airflow, and adjusting the temperature of an empty room, the 3D i-see Sensor® will conserve energy and save you money.
  • Hot-Start
  • Mitsubishi's hot start technology prevents cold drafts by delaying indoor unit fan operation until the heat exchanger has warmed up.
  • Advanced Filtration System
  • With three unique filters inside the MSZ-FH indoor units, the air in your zones is not only being conditioned, but it is also actively being cleaned. Three levels of filtration will keep foul odors and harmful bacteria from floating around your home.
  • Smart Set
  • Mitsubishi's Smart Set function allows you to save a comfort profile consisting of a temperature down to 50° F, fan speed, and airflow direction for each indoor unit. These profiles can be activated with a single press of the Smart Set button.
  • Powerful Mode
  • The powerful setting on an MSZ-FH indoor unit makes it easy to get your zones to the perfect temperature quickly. When it is activated, a unit temporarily increases refrigerant flow and fan speed to provide quick comfort through rapid heating or cooling.
  • Econo Cool Mode
  • By slowly adjusting the cooling set point and swinging the horizontal vanes, an MSZ-FH mini split indoor unit can improve the efficiency of cooling operations without compromising the comfort provided.
  • Dehumidification
  • When the indoor unit is run in dry mode, it will remove extra moisture from the room. This improves your comfort and reduces both mold growth and the chance of property damage in the conditioned space.
  • Vane Control
  • Optimal air flow is easy with Mitsubishi's MSZ-FH mini split indoor units thanks to the vane control option. This provides five horizontal vane positions, an auto mode, and a swing mode. Four way vane control helps provide unmatched comfort.
  • Recommended line set sizes for indoor unit connectivity:
  • MSZ-FH06NA: 1/4" x 3/8" Line Set
  • MSZ-FH15NA: 1/4" x 1/2" Line Set (Qty 2)
  • MSZ-FH18NA2: 1/4" x 1/2" Line Set
  • A branch box with a 3/8" x 5/8" line set connection is also required. Additional branch boxes and line sets may be required based on your configuration.

    Each indoor unit will include any port adapters necessary for multi-zone installation. This product requires the following accessories for installation:Line Set - This double insulated tubing transfers refrigerant efficiently between your outdoor condenser and indoor units.Branch Box - A Mitsubishi branch box is required to connect this condenser to Mitsubishi mini split indoor units.Drain Tubing - Drain tubing facilitates the reliable and effective removal of condensate from your system. It connects your indoor units to drain locations of your choosing.Disconnect Box & Electrical Whip Kit - The Disconnect Box & Whip Kit provides a safe and simple way to connect your outdoor condenser to your fuse box.Connecting Wire - This durable, insulated wire provides power to your indoor units from your outdoor condenser.Outdoor Condenser Plastic Pad or Wall Bracket - We recommend outdoor condensers should not be placed directly on the ground. An outdoor condenser pad or wall bracket will provide a stable way to mount your condenser free from obstructions and debris.Adding these accessories to your order will provide a complete, ready-to-install mini split system. All Mini Split Systems require one Primary Mini Split Installation Kit. You may also require one or more Secondary Installation Kits if you have a Multi-Zone system. You will need a Secondary Installation Kit for each additional indoor unit.
